Norway’s Trolltunga

Trolltunga or (the troll’s tongue) is Located in Beautiful Hardangerfjord , in the town of Odda , Norway and was the most spectacular hike we have ever done.Due to an unusually cold winter and spring the entire trail was in the snow. The trail from Skjeggedal to Trolltunga is long and hard. 13 miles and 3000 ft in elevation change situated about 3000 ft above above lake Ringedalsvatnet in Skjeggedal.

Sognefjord to Flåm. Norways scenic boat journey and railway

National Geographic named the Flam Railway one of the top 10 train journeys world and Lonely Planet named it the best train journey in the world in 2014. It is also one of the steepest train lines in the world on normal tracks.

The train runs through stunning nature, and the rallar road, steep mountains, incredible waterfalls and tunnels. We journeys from Sognefjord to the mountaintop at Myrdal mountain station. We had planned to bike down the rallar road but their was to much snow  due to the unseasonable cold winter/spring that processed our trip.

Sognefjord is Norway’s longest and deepest fjords. We split the fjord cruise and train ride up over a couple nights and backpacked through charming villages Flåm and Undredal.Once we were back on the road our journey took us through the world’s longest road tunnel 24.5km-long stretch of tunnel between Aurland and Laerdal en route to Bergen.
